District Student Achievement Coordinating Committee (DSACC)

The District Student Achievement Coordinating Committee (DSACC) will serve as 国外正规买球app官方版下载's primary body for creating, reviewing, and evaluating all assessment activities relevant to the colleges mission. This would include but is not limited to general education, career and technical education, workforce development, and student services.

目的

The District Student Achievement Coordinating Committee (DSACC) will serve as 国外正规买球app官方版下载's primary body for promoting a culture of assessment, creating and maintaining a schedule of assessments, assisting and guiding faculty in the creation of discipline specific assessments, and analyzing assessment data relevant to the colleges mission, to include, but not limited to, general education, career and technical education, workforce development, and student services.

The committee will be made up of faculty, staff, and administrators from throughout the district and will be chaired or co-chaired by full-time 国外正规买球app官方版下载 faculty. 这把椅子 or co-chairs will also serve as a voting member of the District Instructional Coordinating Committee (DICC). All members of DSACC will have a two-year term to allow for rotation of membership. In addition to the scheduling and conducting of DSACC meetings, the chair or co-chairs will also provide the DICC with information essential to the construction of 国外正规买球app官方版下载's curriculum.

At least 60 percent of the DSACC must be faculty. An equal number of faculty voting members will be distributed among the five campuses.

Composition of the committee is as follows:

  • Three faculty members from each campus, with a minimum of six CTE faculty
  • One dean of instruction. This position will be on a two-year rotational basis among 校园
  • One counselor
  • One Distance Ed/Online representative
  • Two representatives from student services
  • Executive Director of Curriculum and Student Learning
  • Executive Director of Institutional Research
  • Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs
  • Associate Vice Chancellor of 劳动力 and Economic Development

Resource Members:

  • Executive Director of Continuing Education
  • Director from Institutional Effectiveness
  • Academic Support Coordinator

The DSACC will:

  • Support the accreditation review process - review reports and participate in meetings during and leading up to HLC visits - and make recommendations for improvement;
  • Support the assessment of student service support mechanisms that are tied to instruction (i.e. tutoring, supplemental instruction, writing center, math lab) and co-curricular 项目;
  • Provide recommendations of HLC accreditation criteria and improvement projects and guide faculty in the creation and administration of corresponding assessment projects;
  • Serve as an advisory board for the Office of Curriculum & Student Learning to include a review of the assessment plan, the district assessment calendar, new or revised CIFs, Institutional Learning Outcomes, course mapping, course catalog for errors and updates, and anything else assessment related the office should request;
  • 给 input on trainings or speakers that are used for professional development;
  • Collaborate with campuses - serve as the liaison between DSACC and faculty senate/association;
  • Suggest and implement projects for improvement of the assessment process;
  • Actively promote excellence in assessment and monitor the institutional climate of assessment so as to recommend strategies to improve it.
